Poeira Press 🎶

Poeira press is a Brazilian independent publisher and content creator made for music lovers. It was born with the purpose of publishing books that no other house would, exploring the most diverse genres and movements. In 2019, they realized it was time to update their look. They wanted something polished and modern that left their previous zine aesthetic behind.

The identity revolves around four geometrical elements  that are abstractions of musical concepts, such as chords, soundwaves and quarter and half notes. These elements are the colorful elements of all compositions, laying in off-white or black backgrounds. They add rythm and an upbeat quality to the identity.

Sigilo 🤫

🚫 Unused identity.

Sigilo means "secrecy" in portuguese. It also is the name of a new nightclub located the bohemian neighbourhood of Vila Madalena, in São Paulo. I was invited to think of a visual solution that captured the vivacity of the nightlife whilst still mantaining the sultriness of the name.

The challenge: translate the underground personality of the brand without making it vulgar because of the name's nuance.
The solution: illustrating the "shh" sound without the lips (which, if present, could take it the viewer to the sex universe). This invites espectators to complete the symbol in their mind. Also, the owners of the club already had a bar named Zero, so the finger also alludes
to this new establishment being the follow-up to Zero, one.

The identity is complemented by gradients and a smoke-like shape that wherever it touches turns negative, such as corrupting it.
It is followed by blocked squares with text, awkwardly placed, to emulate a faulty computer.

Dolori Clinic 🩻

🚫 Unused identity.

Dolori is a pain treatment center in São Paulo. Before launching, they came to Foresti Design to create their identity. The customer had one thing clear- he wanted to use green.

My proposal used a forest green as the main color. The symbol is an abstract version of DC, so abstract that you can make what
you want of it (a butterfly meaning renewal, two joints coming together, radiation...) but not so abstract that you can't see the letters.
The rest of the palette complements the green in a colorful but still sophisticated way. The abstract icon makes for great patterns
when repeated.

Contém Nuts 🥜

Contém Nuts is a brand of homemade peanut butter. Founded by a close friend, it was me that approached them to offer my services. Nonetheless, the problem was to conciliate the homemade aspect with the sophisticated aspect, for it is an expensive product.

For the sophisticated aspect of the brand, we bet on the combination of a classic serif font (Americana) with a sans-serif of the same x-height só the transition between them would be more seemless. The color palette has 3 colors that derive from the color of the nuts.
To make it look more homemade, we developed illustrations that have a considerable offset between fill and brushstroke, giving it a more amateur effect without losing credibility.
